Kambo, also known as Sapo, is an ancient Amazonian healing medicine derived from the secretion of the giant monkey frog (Phyllomedusa bicolor). It purges toxins and stagnant energy, supporting clarity, insight, and transformation, while opening the way for deeper work with other sacred medicines on retreat. For centuries, Indigenous tribes, including the Matsés, Mayoruna, Yaminawá, and Katukina, have used Kambo for its powerful purification and rejuvenation of the body, mind, and spirit.

What Makes Kambo Unique?

Peptides are the building blocks of proteins and are essential for maintaining homeostasis and overall health. Containing over 120 peptides, Kambo is not only an immune booster and anti-inflammatory agent but also penetrates the blood-brain barrier, assisting with conditions such as PTSD, depression, anxiety, and cognitive function issues. THE KAMBO EXPERIENCE

Our Kambo Ceremony begins with an opening ritual to create a sacred, intentional space for healing. We start by smudging with sage, a practice that clears stagnant energy and invites a sense of calm. Participants are encouraged to share their intentions as we ground into the experience together.

Next, we’ll transition into a mini rapé (hapé) meditation session. This specific Amazonian blend helps relax the nervous system, quiet the mind, and deepen your connection to the present moment.

Once centered, we’ll proceed with the application of the Kambo gateways—small, superficial burns on the skin that serve as entry points for the Kambo secretion. As the medicine enters your body, it initiates a powerful cleansing process that typically lasts between 15 to 40 minutes.

During this time, you may experience:

While Kambo holds transformative potential, it may not be suitable for everyone. We will discuss potential interactions with medications and pre-existing conditions during our introduction call to ensure your safety. Please consult your doctor if you are unsure.
